WOJTYLA CENTER, KRAKOW

Studio Monica Armani designed the Wojtyla Center Krakow, the world's largest installation dedicated to the memory of Karol Wojtyla, Pope John Paul II and his love of skiing in the area of Trentino.

The materials used in the fabrication of the center, the wood and the stone, were chosen to reflect the natural materials found in the area. Further, the center features charming and interpretive 3D coniferous trees in wooden silhouettes that bring a hint of the outside in.

The center offers a peaceful space in which to take in Pope John Paul's life and times through small objects, photos, and video testimonials.
